Instructions for using a Digi scale

Rectangle Accent

Digi is a renowned supplier of calibrated scales, which means that they meet legal requirements for accuracy. To ensure the reliability and validity of the measurements, it is important that the scales are handled with care.

A calibrated scale should not be moved, knocked, or misused. This can affect the calibration and lead to inaccurate measurements, which can have consequences for sales, customer confidence, and even legal obligations.

Tips for proper use
1. Cleaning
  • Use a slightly damp cloth and mild cleaning agents.
  • Avoid aggressive cleaning agents or spraying directly with water.
  • Clean underneath the scale as well, so that it remains stable.
2. Moving
  • Move the scale only if necessary.
  • Carefully lift the scale; do not slide it across the surface.
  • After relocation, a recalibration may be necessary. Consult your supplier.
3. Bumping or falling
  • Avoid bumping, dropping, or placing heavy objects on the scale.
  • Even a slight tap can affect accuracy.
4. Placement
  • Place the scale on a stable, flat surface.
  • Avoid vibrations, drafts, or direct sunlight.
  • Ensure that there are no products on the scale when starting up the cash register. The scale calibrates itself every time the cash register is started up.
